Sardine Tartine 3 Ways

Avocado Lime Sardine Tartine

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
1 piece whole grain bread, toasted
1-2 Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pinch microgreens
Pinch red pepper flakes
Pinch sea salt
Juice of half a lime

Instructions

Arrange avocado on bread. Top with sardines, microgreens, red pepper flakes, sea salt, and lime juice. Serve immediately.

 

Mustard Dill Sardine Tartine

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

1/2 cucumber, sliced
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
Pinch sea salt
1 Tbps Dijon mustard
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp lemon juice
Pinch sea salt
Pinch black pepper
1 slice pumpernickel bread, toasted
Red onion, to taste
1-2 Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Fresh dill, to taste

Instructions

Add sliced cucumber, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup water, and pinch of sea salt to a bowl, mix. In separate bowl, whisk 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, a pinch of sea salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Arrange cucumbers on toasted pumpernickel, top with red onion, 1-2 sardines, fresh dill, and drizzle with mustard-vinegar sauce. Serve immediately.

 

Roasted Tomato Sardine Tartine

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
1 tsp olive oil
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 slice toasted ciabatta
1-2 Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Basil, to taste
Sea Salt, to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place halved cherry tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and chopped garlic in bowl, mix. Arrange tomato mixture on baking sheet lined with parchment paper, bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven, top toasted ciabatta with roasted tomatoes, 1-2 sardines, basil to taste, and sea salt to taste. Serve immediately.
