Ingredients

    For the Labneh

  • 2 cups Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

  • For the Meatballs

  • 4 (4.4 oz) cans Wild Planet Wild Sardines In Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • ¼ cup Almond Flour or Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1½ tsp Ground Paprika

  • ¼ tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder

  • ⅛ tsp Cayenne Powder

  • 1 handful Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • For the Salad

  • 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes, diced
  • ½ Red Onion, diced
  • ½ English Cucumber, diced
  • ¼ cup Mint, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup Dill, roughly chopped
  • ½ tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

  • For Serving

  • Chili Crisp
  • Lemon Zest
  • Naan Bread

Directions

  1. Mix the salt and yogurt together and place them in a cheesecloth or thin dish rag. Tie it closed and place it in a fine mesh sieve over a bowl. Set it in the fridge overnight to draw out the moisture.
  2. The next day, preheat the oven to 350°F. Make the meatballs by mixing everything in a food processor or with a fork vigorously. The key is to mash the sardines very, very small so they can form into meatballs. Place on a sheet tray and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. While it bakes, mix together the cucumber tomato salad ingredients in a bowl and store in the fridge until ready to use.
  4. Take the yogurt out of the fridge and squeeze it to release any remaining moisture. Then spread your homemade labneh on a plate, top with tomato salad on one side, and arrange the meatballs around it. Finish with a drizzle of chili crisp and fresh lemon zest. Serve with naan bread family style.
