What's better than a nutritious, high protein burger?!? This Korean BBQ-inspired tuna burger is gluten free, packed with flavor, and features avocado, fresh arugula, grilled pineapple and a Korean bbq sauce.

What's better than a nutritious, high protein burger?!? This Korean BBQ-inspired tuna burger is gluten free and features avocado, fresh arugula, grilled pineapple and a Korean bbq sauce.

Ingredients

    Ingredients for the burger:

  • 1 (5oz can) Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna

  • -OR-

  • 1 (5oz can) Wild Planet Skipjack Wild Tuna

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (gluten free if needed)

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • 1 tsp Onion powder

  • Ingredients for the sandwich:

  • 2 Burger buns (gluten free, if needed)

  • 1/2 Avocado, sliced

  • 1 slice of Pineapple, grilled

  • 1 handful Arugula

  • 2 Tbsp Korean BBQ sauce (gluten free, if needed)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the tuna, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder and onion powder. Mix well until everything is combined.

  3. Form the mixture into 2 tuna burgers.

  4. Bake the burgers for 10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Serve on a bun with arugula, grilled pineapple, mashed avocado and Korean BBQ sauce.
