A big bowl of buttery, spicy pasta is exactly what you need sometimes. This one features Wild Planet sustainably caught Sardines, grass-fed butter, angel hair pasta and red pepper flakes for spice.
1/2 box Angel hair pasta
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Sea Salt for pasta water
1/2 medium Vidalia Onion, minced
2 Garlic Cloves, minced
Lemon zest from 1 lemon
2 Tbsp Capers, drained
1 Tbsp dried Red Pepper flakes
1 (4.4oz) can Wild Planet Wild Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, minced
2 tbsp grass-fed Butter
Parsley, for garnish
Cook pasta according to directions (save 1/2 cup pasta water)
Mince the onion and garlic and add to pan with warmed olive oil. Let cook until translucent
Add in lemon zest, capers and dried red pepper flakes and stir.
Add in minced sardines and stir until fully combined.
Toss in butter, let melt, then immediately add in cooked pasta and stir.
Add to bowl and top with fresh parsley.
