Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, chili crunch, and lemon juice
  2. Set aside to let flavors meld
  3. Set up three shallow dishes: flour in first, egg wash in second, panko mixed with garlic powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne in third
  4. Pat sardines completely dry with paper towels
  5. Dredge each sardine through flour, coating completely
  6. Dip in egg wash
  7. Coat thoroughly in seasoned panko mixture
  8. Heat cast iron skillet to medium-low with avocado oil
  9. Once hot, carefully add sardines with at least 1 inch space between each
  10. Pan fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown
  11. Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes
  12. Remove from pan and place on paper towel to absorb excess oil
  13. Serve immediately with yogurt sauce
