These crispy rice paper tuna rolls are a little spicy from the Sriracha and jalapeños, a little creamy from the avocados and Kewpie mayonnaise, and super crispy! The combination is addictive - you will love these!

Ingredients

  • 1 (5oz) can Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna

  • 3 Tbsp Kewpie (Japanese) mayonnaise or regular mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce

  • 1/2 Avocado, sliced 

  • 8 sheets of Rice Paper

  • 1 Jalapeño, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup of cooked Sushi Rice

  • 1/4 Cucumber, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 sheet of Nori or Dried Seaweed, cut into 4 pieces

  • Soy Sauce, for dipping

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna, mayonnaise, and Sriracha.

  2. Dip a sheet of rice paper in warm water and lay it flat on a plate. Add a small sheet of nori close to the bottom half of the damp rice paper. Add rice and spread it evenly on top of the seaweed.

  3. Layer on cucumber slices, a tablespoon of the tuna mixture, sliced avocado, and sliced jalapeños.

  4. To roll the rice paper, fold the bottom up over the filling. Fold the left side in towards the center and repeat with the right side. From the bottom of the roll, begin tightly rolling upward until the roll is sealed. Repeat this with another layer of rice paper. This will ensure the roll does not break when we pan fry it.

  5. In a pan over medium heat, add neutral oil. Add the rolled sushi rolls and pan fry on all sides until crispy and lightly golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Remove and let drain on a paper towel to remove any excess oil. Enjoy immediately with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
