Ingredients

  • 7 Spring Roll Wrappers
  • 1 (5oz) can Wild Planet Skipjack Tuna

  • 3 Tbsp Olive Oil, divided

  • ½ head Medium Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Carrot, cut into matchsticks
  • 1 Garlic Clove, crushed
  • 3 Spring Onions, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil

  • 1 tsp Rice Vinegar

  • ½ tsp Salt

  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 Egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Sweet Ginger Chili Sauce for dipping (optional)
  • Frying Oil of choice (avocado oil recommended)

Directions

    Prepare the Filling

    1. Heat 2 Tbsp olive oil in a large pan over medium heat

    2. Add shredded cabbage and carrot matchsticks
    3. Sauté until semi-softened, about 3-4 minutes
    4. Make a well in the center and add remaining 1 Tbsp olive oil

    5. Add crushed garlic and sauté for 30 seconds
    6. Add tuna, chopped spring onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper

    7. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes
    8. Remove from heat and let cool slightly

    Assemble the Wraps

    1. Place about ¼ cup filling in one corner of spring roll wrapper
    2. Tuck in the side edges and roll tightly
    3. Seal the end with beaten egg
    4. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling

    Fry the Wraps

    1. Heat frying oil to 350°F in a deep pan or fryer
    2. Fry spring rolls in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side
    3. Remove and drain on paper towels
    4. Serve immediately with sweet ginger chili sauce or enjoy on their own
