Kimchi Tuna Melt Toast

This unique spin on a tuna melt includes Swiss cheese and Asian-inspired ingredients like Kimchi and kewpie mayonnaise, and the entire dish gets amped up with the addition of an egg. The elements combine for a delicious umami-flavored open faced tuna sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of Bread

  • 1 slice of Swiss cheese

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 (5oz) can Wild Planet Albacore Wild Tuna

  • 1 Tbsp Kimchi

  • 1 Tbsp Kewpie Mayonnaise (regular mayo also works) 

  • 1 Tbsp chopped Scallions

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, put in the tuna, kimchi, kewpie mayo, and scallions. Mix all together 

  3. Spread the tuna mixture on a slice of bread 

  4. Layer the cheese on top of the tuna mixture

  5. Use a spoon to make a dent in the middle, then crack an egg in the dent

  6. Bake for 10 mins at 400F
