Always ate their tuna and salmon. Tried this recently along with the yellow tail both are amazing taste, texture and consistency. So hard to decide which one to eat.

I have loved the sardines, yellowtail tuna from previous orders and now I'm enjoying my first time ordering the mackerel. Wow. Count me impressed!

I cannot express how much I love, love, LOVE Wild Planet mackerel and the company overall. Years ago I was eating another brand of sardines and switched to Wild Planet only because the other company could not vouch for the quality of their olive oil, whereas Wild Planet could. (Plus, ... the difference in taste was noticeable.) A year or so later, I tried the mackerel and became hooked on it. I loved the beefy texture; the clean, un-fishy taste; and -- once again -- the "olive-y-ness" of the olive oil. But then I had a problem that started a couple of months ago: Every can of Wild Planet mackerel that I purchased had a faulty pull tab. I enlisted the help of the Whole Foods Customer Service manager, and he had the same problem. So, he refunded my money. A few weeks passed, and I went to another Whole Foods, only to discover the same problem. This was on a Friday night and I was in my jammies, so I was not pleased. I took the two cans that had faulty pull tabs to Whole Foods, received a credit, and purchased a different brand, which was so bad by comparison. The olive oil was probably 90% water, and the fish was not nearly as high-quality. I emailed Wild Planet and expressed my frustration. I was so mad, primarily because I LOVED this product but didn't feel the can was reliable enough for me to take a risk on. Wild Planet emailed me within a day or two and said that they had been aware of the problem and had switched packing-material suppliers. But that wasn't all they said: For my inconvenience, Wild Planet said they would send me some product. Today I received a box filled with a dozen cans of Wild Planet mackerel. Now THAT is customer service. I am so happy that I can continue to eat this fabulous product and to recommend it to others with confidence. I have turned others onto Wild Planet mackerel and sardines, and they come away as impressed as I am. You won't be disappointed in the olive-oil version. It's the best! Thank you, Wild Planet!

Awesome and so good! Excellent fish to eat with multi grain crackers and salad. I also mix with scrabmled eggs and cheese and serve with whole grain bread and fruit. I always feel great after eating a can.

Awesome product! This Mackerel tastes very similar to Tuna. The Sardines are great too. Great with lemon and cracked pepper or a little hot sauce.

These are great and appearance and flavor seem superior to Haddon House, Coles, Seasons and others. They are great with an egg cappelini and a pesto sauce of any sort.

Have had tomatoes in my green for about three weeks now and could not wait so make a salsa with onions over these white fillets. Incredible.

Nom. My fave is run under the broiler a little bit, and served on top of brown rice with a veggie, a little soy sauce, some of the EVOO from the can, and a generous sprinkle of furikake.

Pricey but delicious. I ate this straight on top of a bowl of rice w/ banchan. Thank you!

Yum! Succulent and mild. Great straight out of the can or with a little lemon.
